Should we care if grown people take steroids?

vRobert Lipsyte at Tomdispatch (linked here through AlterNet) says our concern is misplaced.

And besides, don’t we love a winner?

    Yes. And so out of proportion to, say, his neck and waist.

    • I once knew a woman who looked like her legs were on upside down, her ankles were that big. But that’s off-point, isn’t it?

    I think it’s unlikely that she worked to have that happen. I doubt if there would be any advantage to that, no?

  4. Yes, there are far more pressing issues than steroids in sports, especially baseball. You go to a baseball game to sit in the stands and watch balls fly over your head, who cares what makes them go out of the park.

    What people should be angry is when the Congress has hearings on it. Trillion dollars deficits, and these morons are talking about baseball? Is that the “hard decisions” we elect these jackasses for? A game kids play?
