If the Shroud of Turin is fake…

Of course I can still believe in Jesus. My belief does not depend on a piece of cloth.
BTW, professional wrestling is very possibly fake, also.
SAY IT AINT SO!!!!! You know, the mother of WWE is running for Senate back here in godless Connecticut. We’re so proud.
The Italian group think that they may have been able to recreate the Shroud of Turin. Maybe they have? But, I’d love for them to try and recreate the coffee stained image of the Virgin Mary I personally have. A few photos of the image can be found here on Flickr. http://www.flickr.com/photos/7690119@N03/sets/72157617453203072/detail/
Oh, awesome.
Of course I would still believe in Jesus. He works for my company with his brother Pablo. He looks nothing like the tall anglo-appearing bearded fellow in that shroud thingy anyway…
My point exACTly. Jesus lives. And he isn’t Norwegian.
I have no idea how the shroud was made, or why it appears to depict someone who has been lashed and (possibly) crucified; but there’s no way the face in the shroud is the semitic face of a 1st century Israelite.
What is great about this whole shroud of turin thing is how they depict jesus as a WHITE man. People fail to realize that the biblical times were in the middle east, which means that Mr.Jesus would have been Middle-Eastern looking i.e. darker skin complexion NOT WHITE
And why the western world (much of it, not all of it) persists in turning Jesus into a blue-eyed brunette/blond is beyond me.
Who was always dressed in CLEAN white! How did his clothes never have dust on them? The roads weren’t paved back then, people.
But it was Jesus and up until the Crucifixion, he was covered in Teflon?
I’m guessing here, too.
Has anyone followed the story of the shroud when it started to be tested scientifically? They have been showing specials on the science channel and history channels all month. They can’t explain how it got there, they do know it is human blood. It was not an image that was “created” artificially, and it has 3d mapping much like pixels, that is what is baffling them. They used the mapping to create a cgi image of what the man would have looked like. Without scientific proof, this group of scientists with the information available to them, do believe it was the shroud that wrapped Jesus. One theory they have was it was created by a very strong source of light from the inside of the shroud and that is what could have made it appear as a photo negative. The image they created was not that of a white man, obviously Jesus was not white. What makes this year interesting in the science world is how much they have proven events of the bible to be scientifically accurate, from the plagues to the destruction of sodom and gomorrah. If events are accurate, what else is accurate? Look into these events of the scientific community before jumping to conclusions.
Oh, we’re all about not jumping.
