Definitely not a role model. Absolutely not.
Why not?
Toooo interested in little boys. Dangled his (?) child out a window. Unnecessary surgeries to the point that his nose pretty much fell off.
There’s plenty more.
Drug abuse?
Not a role-modelesque behavior, sure. But can we look at his charity work? I find him to be a conflicted and conflicting public person.
Charity work? You have this covered on another topic.
Plenty of people use “charity work” to divert attention from their misdeeds.
Richard Scrushy, of Healthsouth fame, suddenly “got religion” and joined a predominantly Black church. All of a sudden pastors were showing up at his trial, ready to testify what a good Christian he was.
Didn’t work. He’s off in a prison somewhere.
I’m totally late to this but while I think that MJ had mental troubles, there really isn’t good reason to believe that he was a pedophile. I think he was just obsessed with having and giving the childhood he lost. I’m very hesitant to believe a horrendous crime like this one based on very shaky evidence. I think at heart he was a good, kind person.
The sad thing about such an accusation is that once someone’ smade it, it sticks. It almost doesn’t matter (in the mind of the public, most of the public, that is) whether it’s true. I feel for him.
MJ absolutely had mental troubles. Big time.
I agree, but I’m not sure those mental troubles extended into pedophilia.
