…make it illegal.
The North Carolina General Assembly has proposed a bill that would make it illegal for scientists to predict what could happen to sea levels (Check your maps. North Carolina is a coastal state.) should climate change continue.
(A state-appointed committee has already said the sea could rise one meter by 2100.)
And thanks, DickG., for the link.
If the government of the State of North Carolina feels it has the authority to ignore accepted science, like…you know…math…when fulfilling their duty to act in the public interest, I suppose there’s not much anyone can do about it.
Except I think next time the federal government should find another spot to park the five million taxpayer dollars that funds studies producing data North Carolina chooses to ignore.
Make them spend it on HIV testing and treatment.
Or LGBT sensitivity and awareness programs for their constabulary.
Nice.
If I close my eyes you can’t see me, right?
I believe that’s how it works, yes.
