Whither thou goest…

Or, how about this:

I can’t quit you!

No? I’m all out of social references that have anything to do with the weird path this blog has taken in the last few years, but if you have any more, feel free to add them in the comments section.

I’m back and I’m most likely staying. I left my place of employment a little more than a week ago, which means Still Small Voice, the blog I wrote there, left, too. (Actually? It was disappeared, so it’s like it never happened, and that means I’m free to revisit all those topics because who remembers blog posts, anyway? Yeh!)

(In fact, I will revisit all those topics because the intersection of politics and religion interests me more than just about anything — though Vegas? I will try to lay off the Duggars, as fascinated as I remain with them.)

In the week since I quit my job, I finished a biography I’ve been toying with for years, turned it into the publisher, babysat my twin grandchildren, helped get a non-profit started with my husband, had a job interview (fingers crossed; I was as prim as I could manage, and when it was over, I went out into my car, rolled the windows up, and let fly a string of curses that felt good). And a couple of nights ago? To celebrate? I ate a lobster roll. How did you spend your week?

Meanwhile, the same rules apply: Send blog post ideas. I will love you for it. Weigh in loudly and vigorously, but if you get nasty, I shall cheerfully jettison your comment straight to hell. And tell all your friends.

Nice to hear your not-so-small voice again Susan! Peace, Anne

  2. I think disappearing SSV is…well…I’m not very happy about it. They didn’t even update the archives. There’s nothing in there from SSV after October 2011.

At least your columns are in there.

I haven’t sent anybody a nasty email in two or three days. I’ll think I’ll send one to The Courant. Don’t want to lose my edge…

    Welcome back to blogdom.

  3. I enjoyed your last column in that once great newspaper. Best of luck!
