Things have changed since Blum first wrote that in Killing Hope back in the 80s.
It should be updated, as he’s done with the rest of the book…
The principle that everyone, who must subsist on table scraps dropped by the rich, can best be served by giving the rich all the food.
William Blum captures it in one sentence.
The attitude based on that sort of belief really bothers me. A lot.
