Hunh — as a person who’s very fussy about and very affected by color, I don’t see a problem with this — what’m I missing?
I don’t want to be corralled toward any shade, hue, or color. I want the whole rainbow.
Okay, so I’m seeing the second panel as the follow-up to the first (if you want pink, which shade?), and you’re seeing it as the alternative (here are the shades of pink from which you may choose). Got it.
When I was a girl, when dinosaurs roamed the earth, people would say, “you can be whatever you want. A secretary, a teacher, a hairdresser or even a nurse!”. Woo hoo.
I learned Gregg’s shorthand in preparation to being a journalist (taking notes, doncha know) and my business teacher applauded me for my imagined future success in the secretarial pool.
