I’m not sure this video doesn’t ascribe more intelligence to the man in the mask than is really there in real life. It appears the real-life Mitt Romney can’t even remember when he ceased being an employee of Bain.
Meanwhile, I’m still stunned at his performance at the NAACP. In a well-choreographed appearance, Romney managed to insult not just the 13-15% of Americans of African descent, but also the 12.7 million unemployed, and the 46+ million living in poverty who surely depend on some form or another of state and federal assistance. (I’m not including Social Security because we all know that we paid into that through payroll taxes, but the same could be said about other aspects of the social safety net–or what’s left of it.)
I can only conclude that either (1) it was calculated that yesterday’s performance would win over more undecided voters than it will repel, or (2) the Koch Brothers have let the Romney campaign know that voter suppression efforts and electronic voting machine rigging have succeeded beyond their fondest hopes and the election is in the bag, and he can say any damn thing he wants between now and November.

One of my many (many) nightmares.
