Oh but they’re creating jobs! Right?
GE says they’ve created about 15,000 jobs since 2009. Critics claim GE outsources more jobs offshore than it creates at home. Verifying that data is about as easy as pinning GE down on the continuing “0 taxes paid” dispute.
One thing GE…or anybody else… is not creating is wages. New hires at the new plant in Louisville reportedly make 50-60% less than pre-recession industry standards.
