What happened to Wisconsin?

Gov. Scott Walker survived a recall vote yesterday in one of the most closely-watched elections this season.

How’d he do that?

Here‘s more on that.

And here‘s more on his big donors. So now that those people have donated some $31 million, Death and Taxes asks the obvious: They’re going to rebuild the state now, right? Right? I mean, as D&T says:

3/4 of his $31 million campaign donation total came from out-of-state donations (wealthy donors, Super PACs and the RNC), including $10 million from the Koch brothers-funded Americans for Prosperity.

So it’s really awesome that many non-Wisconsinites care so much about the state. I wonder if there would ever be support for limiting out-of-state contributions. I, of course, am not the first to wonder this.

It’s not the message in Wisconsin

It’s the money.

Check out what Mother Jones has to say about the amount of money that’s funding Wisconsin’s recall election today.

Also, for your reading pleasure, here‘s a pretty good explainer of the recall.

Meanwhile, check out what a couple of Green Bay Packers have to say about the election.
