Kuwait has female lawmakers

 

Four years after women were granted the right to vote in Kuwait, four out of 50 members of the recently-elected Kuwaiti parliament are women, the first time in 50 years women will serve in such a capacity.

That’s 8 percent.

In the United States, 91 women serve in the U.S. Congress.  That’s roughly 14 percent.
