Didn’t listen but isn’t this a bell curve thing? Some men are better than some women not all men are better than all women. (Sometimes all my logic training comes back, like a flashback. ) I hate chess because it takes too long. But I’m (or was) excellent at logic.
I hate chess and I’m only mediocre at logic. But yes, not all men are better than all women. They were going more off the notion that the top chess players are all men.
You know, this discussion reminds me of the remarks Larry Summers made about women and science while he was president of Harvard. Few were sorry to see him leave town shortly thereafter. (Unfortunately that freed him up for a position at Obama’s right hand.)
Corollary: All things being equal, why are Russian men better at chess than other men?
