  1. Beautiful! What you did reminded me to read the Charter for Compassion again since compassion is at the heart of Christianity. (and not only there)

    From the Charter for Compassion:
“Compassion impels us to work tirelessly to alleviate the suffering of our fellow creatures, to dethrone ourselves from the centre of our world and put another there, and to honour the inviolable sanctity of every single human being, treating everybody, without exception, with absolute justice, equity and respect.”
    Merry Christmas

  2. Very disturbing images for a song that doesn’t really hit the disturbance-button. Here’s another Dennen: it’s 5 or 6 years old and still true —
The Holidays Are Here and We’re Still at War:

    1. I’m thinking seeing the images is the message of the song. It’s easier to live our abundant, comfortable lives without seeing those images (truth of what else is in the world) and that’s why things are the way they are. We would rather be comfortable and not see the disturbing images and pain of the “others”. Thanks for sharing both songs. Was not familiar with this singer-songwriter.
