General Motors, Ford and DaimlerChrysler have all signed letters with the Canadian Auto Workers asking the government to preserve and renew the country’s health care system.

So with this joint letter to Canada, the Big Three automakers have given progressives that ammunition to fight back against the tall tale that universal healthcare is bad for business. If it was, why would they be pushing for it to be stronger.

  1. The link to the letter returned an error when I tried it.Here is another link to the text of the letter. The link in the Medeiros article works, too.

    Fiscally responsible, financially sustainable, constitutionally sound, morally agreeable and now…pro-business.
    Single Payer.
    What are we waiting for?
