At least three of these states are avidly Christian states, too, loaded with Evangelicals. You know, the people who loudly and proudly proclaim their “values” (including family and “pro-life” [the kind that ends at birth, however]) and their love of Christ and his teachings, like taking care of the unfortunate among us.
So why is it that states like that could be counted on to take such a position? Boggles the mind. And it boggles the mind all the more because it seems to make sense to them.
