My friend Sherry posted this on Facebook yesterday. I hadn’t seen it. For some odd reason, I wasn’t a “West Wing” watcher, but what a gut punch is this segment.
Bring ’em home. Remember that bumper sticker? Home. It’s a pretty simple equation, if we mean what we say about honoring our vets.

There should be no one homeless. However, a homeless vet? It’s a crime that they exist. We owe them for life.
It’s a painful reminder but one we need. I can’t imagine turning anyone away from shelter. Homeless is the saddest word.
