Not really, but if you’ve nothing better to do, you could do worse than attend the Noah Webster House & West Hartford Historical Society’s annual Webster’s War of the Words fund raiser on Friday night.
There’s a silent auction and great food, and a team competition of silliness that I first participated in I-don’t-know-how-long-ago. I don’t remember who asked first, and I don’t remember why I said yes the first year, but I had so much fun I kept going back. This year, I’m not on a team. I’m the game show host, a position I was given so keep me — or so I believe — from cheating. (Diane Smith? I’m talking to you.) Mostly, it’s good, clean fun with goofy people who don’t mind being goofy on stage. If you’re in the area, please consider joining us.
