Who wins in the Northeast, where, according to the PRRI American Values Atlas, 26 percent of residents are white Catholics, and 21 percent are unaffiliated?
Of course, if the white and Hispanic and other Catholics join forces, the unaffiliateds are outnumbers and surrounded.
But…don’t Catholics have to turn the other cheek?
Big deal. So are evangelicals/fundamentalists. Do we do so? Well….
My Daddy used to say, “Turning the other cheek gets a little easier when you get in the first shot.”
I like the cut of his jib.
You might change your mind if you got a good long look at his jib.
Even as I typed that, I thought maybe other people’s parents always look good, from a distance.
