A brief discussion of “the Iraq Question” on Lawrence O’Donnell’s show on MSNBC tends to put a hitch in my bandwagon get-along on Hillary’s statement. (Another hat-tip to Cousin Eddy who watches MSNBC. I do not.) Hillary appears more consistent in her position on the question than not.
The question now might be: If the 2003 invasion and occupation of Iraq was ill-advised, could the formal withdrawal in 2011, considering the consequences, be considered doubly so?
It takes a big woman to admit a big mistake. Also, it takes a woman who knows how to read the polls.
