Earlier this month, Gov. Jindal’s Executive Order BJ 15-8 essentially cleared the path to discriminate against the LGBTQ crowd, just ‘cos. This order seeks to accomplish what an earlier Louisiana state bill addressing so-called “religious freedom” tried to do, but it was rejected by the state legislators.
Read what the National Organization for Women says about it here. Jindal, who really really really would like to be your president, earlier had some harsh words over the current President’s use of executive orders. I guess if you’re a governor, it’s OK.
One of my Facebook friends is a New Orleanean, and he says that Jindal knows he can’t be elected President, that what he’s really shooting for is a nice cushy lobbyist position, but it requires sucking up to the same people, more or less.
That makes a sad kind of sense.
It’s so sad that people like Jindal, who can be so nasty to others, are in positions of power. What’s even more sad is that enough people support their way of thinking to vote them into their positions.
