  1. I’m not going to read the PLOS One paper. I read the abstract. I’m sure the authors have sufficient evidence to back up their assertion of apparent polarization.

    However…
    –looking at the graphic supplied, (which shows the greatest degree of polarization beginning at the start of the neoliberal era…the 80s)…
    –and looking at a little more science on the dynamics of American politics showing “substantial support for theories of Economic-Elite Domination and for theories of Biased Pluralism,” since the emergence of the neoliberal era, (Gilens and Page PDF)…
    –and looking at changes to the bottom line like here and here since the emergence of the neoliberal era…
    …what is actually apparent is that anything resembling political polarization or partisanship in government is nothing more than cosmetic differences constructed…manufactured…to depict difference where none actually exists…because…the people who own this country…including the government… have been getting, (for the last 35 years), and are continuing to get everything they want.
