I don’t agree with it either. Which may sound strange coming from a corner of the arena that has nobody in play on the national stage.
“Doomed” is just a little fatalistic, I think. The status quo will more than likely retain it’s stranglehold on American affairs, since we really have no say about who controls that status quo. Yet.

The “no control” and “status quo” parts sound like a slow slip toward doomed.
