Here’s the RNC’s statement after the horrific Orlando shootings on Sunday.
Oddly, there is no mention of LGBTQI, but evidently, an earlier version contained this:
“Violence against any group of people simply for their lifestyle or orientation has no place in America or anywhere else.”
Why the revision? Well, this has a bit of an explanation. But haven’t we already dismissed the notion that homosexuality is a lifestyle, or a choice?

I would ask those idiots: Is being a white, straight, cis male a lifestyle?
At the same time, I welcome movement toward greater acceptance. It’s much slower for some than I’d like. But, I have no patience for those who feign solidarity for political reasons yet still cling to bigotry! No patience at all!
