Trump claims he’s not backpedaling, but expanding his proposal to include “any nation that has been compromised by terrorism until such time it’s proven that vetting mechanisms have been put in place.” Like Germany and France “because they’ve allowed people over years to come into their territory.”
So it would no longer be an immigration ban based on solely religion, but national origin. Which we’ve done in the past.
