The Injustice Boycott

boycottJust as Montgomery’s bus boycott created change, some activists are looking to create change in the coming days, with an Injustice Boycott, starting on Monday in Standing Rock, New York City, and San Francisco.

Starting with a tourism boycott and moving into a boycott of corporations headquartered in the chosen cities, the movement builds.

  1. I’m not excited by this. So far. I need more information. And I’m uncomfortable with the exploitation of the Montgomery Bus Boycott and MLK.

    And…you know…if you want to strike against the institutions that sustain injustice in America?

    There’s a strike. There’s a boycott. Wanna get someone’s attention? Get 20 million or so people to stop paying Federal taxes. Just for say 3 months out of the year. The paperwork alone would cripple the government.

    Fuck the markets. Fuck the corporations. Any relief you get from them is going to be just more tokenism tailored to sustain injustice and inequality…not defeat it. Go after the government. That is, after all, where the problem lies. Especially now.
