    • I was quite taken by this. The love in every stitch, all that.

      • I’m glad the person who found it knew enough to get it to the right people.

        • Right. Wonder how many other wonderful pieces like this are rotting away in someone’s stuffy attic — though I have to say my grandmother inherited a quilt top from my grandfather’s first wife (short story: first wive died and they were friends) and it was kept in a box under a bed, I think, and survived for decades not at all worse for wear.
