I’ll carry you in my pocket.

56a7717e2a00002c00031415My friend Candace went on Facebook to say that she was sad that she couldn’t make it to the Women’s March on Washington this Saturday. Her health won’t allow it.

I’ve heard from people myself, but Candace had a great idea: If you know someone who wants to march, but cannot, write their name on a piece of paper, and slip it in your pocket. Carry their name — and their energy — to the march.

I’m carrying my friend Pat — Sis. Pat, I call her — a woman whose multiple health challenges haven’t slowed her down one iota, but making it to a march is  bridge too far.

Sis. Pat? I’m bringing you along for the ride. I promise it will be noisy. And you’ll love it.
