This New York Times article says that retailers like H&M and Walmart haven’t lived up to their promises to treat fairly workers overseas. Several reports from the Asia Floor Wage Alliance says the retailers are falling far, far short. Check out this latest report. Puts a whole new meaning to the phrase “clean clothes,” yes?

Trinity Church will focus on Cabela’s and their sale of high-capacity weapons. Trinity Church already pursued behemoth Walmart, which eventually won in court. Trinity Church is a shareholder in both retail organizations, and recently filed a resolution on gun sales, to be considered at Cabela’s next year’s shareholder meeting.

The Arkansas legislature has passed to Gov. Asa Hutchinson a “religious freedom” law similar to the one that has caused the uproar in Indiana and elsewhere. Gov. Hutchinson is a 1972 graduate of Bob Jones University, the ultra-conservative institution of higher learning whose policies (and graduates) would be funny if they weren’t so very sad. …
