If so, can you recite her holy text?
A quiz! Who said it, the Dalai Lama, or Oprah Winfrey?
I did not do spectacularly.
No, I do not worship at the altar of either.
Then you, like me, can expect a tragically low score. I do wonder what it’s like to be Oprah and have such sway over people. Me? I’d abuse it. I know me.
As a Unitarian Universalist I worship at the altar of everyone and no one. I did spectacularly well. More so because of Oprah knowledge than of the Dalai Lama.
I’d go back and take it again, but that would be cheating, yes?
I find it oddly disturbing when they actually have a quiz to differentiate between a talk show mogul and the leader of an ancient religion!
The difference is that Oprah is sharing borrowed wisdom. Nothing wrong with that but it tends to change with her moods as well.
Yes, that’s true. I think it would be very hard to have that much influence, myself. On some days, I’m challenged to make good decisions for myself, much less my hordes of True Believers.
