Come be a part of something bigger than you

lg_item_8286_3There’s a candlelight vigil from 6 to 7 p.m. today on the north side of the State Capitol (the side facing Bushnell Park) for Deah Barakat, 23, his wife, Yusor Abu-Salha, 21, and her sister, Razan Abu-Salha, 19, the three University of North Carolina students who were shot and killed last week in their home in Chapel Hill.

The vigil is sponsored by American Muslim Peace Initiative, the Pakistani-American Association of Connecticut (PAACT) and Critical Connections.

Please bring your own candles. The Capitol doesn’t allow open flames, so bring the battery-operated kind.
